These days are increadibly busy, and while I feel like I continue to fall behind, I am accomplishing alot.

Got The Last Incarnation finally to iTunes today… finally as in less than 90 days from launch, but it feels like forever. Also got alot of material into iTunes from the bookstore as well.

It looks like the transition from Tunecore to CDBaby will probably take most of the year. It only makes sense to go ahead and let each album run it’s course before shifting it over, and some of the albums don’t renew until November, so there you go. I am curious if having them run through a different aggregator increases sales. One of the benefits of CD Baby I have seen so far is that they are far more active in keeping their store list up to date.

Amazon continues to humm right along, generating sales without interruption. Barnes and Noble also is having a great month, and I was hoping to see us break some sales recods for January- we have already, but there was a pretty aggressive one I still want- and I think I can get. I have rediculous 1400 emails piled up…

lots to edit on the video side, and I have to find 16 players for a board game I am hosting at a gaming tourney. should be interesting.

School, both classes are in full swing, not particularly fond of either class right now, I hope that changes soon.

Lots today…

emails at 843, really need to pay attention to that…

Ok sales news for The Last Incarnation

I posted about how important a good cover is for your book… and I posted a new Listening Room page…

Tomorrow, new podcast and webcast, very busy days indeed…

Phoenix Comicon 2011 was a tremendous success across everything that I was involved in.

First Off, Thanks!

  • To Harmony Nelson most of all, her booth work was unprecidented!
  • To Bernard Schober, for again killing the Nerd Slam!
  • To all our guests, be they for Anthology (Laura Lacanette, Russ Kazmierczak, Lauren Perry) or for Brick Cave Media (Kent Markwart, Heather Liebenow, Idena Thatcher, Melvin lambert. Mike Robinson, Joe Giunta, Brent Heffron, Sharon Skinner), you guys made for a fun and exciting weekend.
  • Our unsung heroes included Joseph Nieves, who not only helped set up, but man the booth, and tear down, and Aura Nelson, who rode in on her pickup of salvation and took the entire booth home, and had it unloaded by the time we got there- THANK YOU BOTH!

From Opening Night, having Sacrifice show on Opening Night Thursday night was both an honor and a privilege, seriously. we put the estimate at 50 people in the room for the show, which was tremendous!

On Friday we hit the ground running… we had some VERY aggressive goals for our booth, and Harmony was non-stop in “gospelling” the Sacrifice message. It was pretty apparent obviously that we had learned from 2010 and were seeing Amazing results from the start. The 2 months of planning paid off in a HUGE way.

Also on Friday, we benefited from Sharon’s Burgeoning popularity in the Steampunk world as she put her designs into the booth, both for guns and clothes, and that drew people in to look around.

Friday Night was nothing short of Amazing. Thank you to Joe B. for believing in the slam after a great 2010, not just believing in it, but bumping it up to a room almost three times the size, and hooking it up with a PRIMO time. I’m guessing at our height we had 175 people in the room rated to 221… Laura, Lauren and The Kaz were stupendous

Saturday, I lead a two hour game of Star Fleet Battles, which i won’t really talk about because I got wasted pretty early on. Hit a couple of sessions, picked up a tidbit or two to use on next projects.

Oh, I got Brent Heffron Arrested on Friday, too…

I would say Sunday was a wind down day, but we hit the booth hard all day, and blew it up! AND I totally spaced, one of my highlights, with Wendy Trakes was announcing Mantecoza as the Sci-Fi/Fantasy Film winner for the festival…

All in all, it was a great comicon!

Busy, Busy, Busy this week.

Been mostly focused on Stories of Haven. I’ll leave the dirty details for my Brick Cave Media blog, but I will say I am very happy with the work results, not just in getting stories out there, but in writing some new material.

Can I just take a moment and say how happy I have been coming back to WordPress? As cool as Joomla is, and I LOVE it for BCM and Anthology, it’s just missing a personal feel for a personal blog. I had considered being more active on my Livejournal account, but I mostly just review my friend’s posts, and to be honest, the new “Pre-load” ad stuff is crap, and since I love WordPress anyway, the choice was pretty easy. Oh that and the FRIEKIN AWESOME IPAD APP to update with kinda sealed the deal.

If you get a chance, check out Sharon Skinner’s site, also WordPress, but I just spent the day tweaking the “Steampunk” theme for her and it came out awesome, I actually got some widget envy and copied some of my work over there back to here.

Oh, about the Haven stuff, I started a 4 story arc, introducing some new characters, and really messing with some of the original. My guy, Arborean, will be in the mix, along with my personal favorite villian, Reaper. I won’t spill too much more, but I probably won’t release the first story until a few more of the “First 10″ are available.

I’ll probably update some more fairly soon, but I noticed I had had some visitors lately and I wanted to actually give them something to read, so there you go.

See you soon,

Bob
