The Apple Cor(ner)

Bob uses a variety of Apple computers depending on what is going on...

On the Road

On the road, I have a stylish, if dated, Powerbook G4. 12" and full color, and runs OS 10.5 without any issues.

Also on the road, but not so powerful, I have an original Orange iBook G3 (and a gray 366). Mostly, I use it for audio recording through a griffin USB audio adapter and a version 2.0 of SoundStudio. OS 10.3 is about as far as I have taken it.

In "The Cave"

Back in The Brick Cave, I have a small army of macs serving websites, handling day to day tasks and recording...

The newest addition to the family is an Intel quad core 2.66. I have been increadibly pleased with this machine, and it has been the core machine in recording my spoken word album "Boboliscious", doing all the website work, etc.

In the server end, you are currently enjoying this website being served from "Remus", one of my G4 Powermac's (his brother "Romulus" acts as a home server). Remus handles ALOT of database work... with next to no downtime, which is usually operator induced...

For the Nonprofit site I am the ED of, Anthology, is served from one of "The Three Musketeers", three Blue and White G3 Macs. I could go on and on about the fact that I think the B&W G3's are the greatest things since sliced bread, but you already know that.

Deep in the Past

I'll add information about the mac that I have used throughout history...
