It's pretty busy here in the Brick Cave...

About 15 minutes of the movie (Sacrifice) has been edited so far, I can already tell there will be a couple of rounds of cuts for some scenes that add too much time to the total... at the current rate, the movie would be over 4 hours. The good news in that is that there should be enough tight material to make a great 90-120 minute movie. Lots and lots of deleted scenes for the dvd. That improved my spirits somewhat, I have dreaded the editing process, out of fear that I would have too little material to work with.

I am very jazzed to have a booth at the Phoenix Comicon, and in talking with Sharon, she helped me to really zero in on what we should be focused on as part of the booth. I think the design will be tremendously fun.

Brick Cave Media is going to have a huge year in the MP3 album arena, if I can get to putting together the various projects that right now are in various stages of competion. I also did an audit of the albums we already have out there, and found some albums that are not showing up in one or more of the stores, so I have to get that fixed as well. But there are no fewer than 6 albums that are close to being done: 2 from me, 2 from Bill, One each from Patrick and Klute, the Poe Show (for Anthology). That's all just the stuff that is already recorded and just needs to be finished. Upcoming is the Valentine's Day Massicree (Anthology), Mesa slamoff (Anthology) and more.

Publishing-wise, I am working to finish up Sharon's book of poetry this week, and finally get it moving to Amazon and to the printer. I put future projects on hold for a couple days, until after some details come out for Apple's tablet, and the subsequent ebook offerings that would be made through the iTunes music store. Amazon's changes to their Kindle publishing contract bode well, but I am a bit concerned about being able to get ebooks into the iTunes environment, but we'll see...
