I posted about how important a good cover is for your book… and I posted a new Listening Room page…

Tomorrow, new podcast and webcast, very busy days indeed…

From our last installment, things have taken a wild ride to the surreal. Not only has Sacrifice been selected for the 2011 Phoenix Comicon, but it will be showing opening night of the festival. Far better than my hopes, so I think I need to chastise myself for being down on myself a little, but I don’t have time… g’heh.

I am very excited for this year’s ComicCon, not the least of which is because Harmony is coming back for a few days, which is awesome, and I’ll get to debut a set of prints from Aura, something I have wanted to be able to do for a long time. Girl’s got talent, let’s see if we can turn that into some cash for her.

Post Comicon, I have to finish up the article I started on BCM about the future of Digital Media, and continue our web transition for the site. The need to focus on Subterfuge is looming, as well as getting ready to re-release Joe’s Trilogy and Sharon’s second book.

Tons beyond even that as the audio from recent recordings is piling up, and also on the horizon is San Diego Comicon, a trip to Northern Cali and hopefully a trip back east, but we’ll see.

Hope you all are well

Just a quick hello, had a great Brick Cave Media meeting this evening with Brent and Melvin- Happy Birthday Mike Robinson! Lots going on with Subterfuge, and still lots going on with Sacrifice. More later!

WordPress is telling me I should post every day in 2011. I am 4 days behind, but I shall give it my best. Just as a quick beginning of the year rundown, I will share some projects, some goals, and some additional silliness.

2010 was a very mixed bag for me. In some areas, like BCM, it was great, really groundbreaking. In some areas, like Anthology, it was horrible, or at best non-existant. In my non side event life, life at home was excellent. Life at my “other” place was torture. All year. No end.

But I am turning the page to 2011 now, and I have new hopes that I can make a  difference in some new areas, and move some of my 2010 successes forward.

Writing….

I doesn’t seem like it, but I have been writing. Not poetry, but two stories, lots of other material. Of my pretty vast treasure trove of ideas and material to bring together, I decided to write totally new. So, I am writing two stories, one as a prequel to a huge writing and gaming project I had done years ago, and a 4 story arc for the Haven Story series.

The Haven story is about done, the other is about mid way. Look for both fairly soon.

I will be at the Amazing Arizona Comicon this weekend in Mesa, Brick cave is sharing a table with Karaoke Famboy Press, which pretty much guarentees a ruckus good time. I have no idea where we will be, but if you come by the table, and let me know you read this post, I’ll give you something.

Anyway, I have to go make the Brick cave post now, so I’ll see you later!

Busy, Busy, Busy this week.

Been mostly focused on Stories of Haven. I’ll leave the dirty details for my Brick Cave Media blog, but I will say I am very happy with the work results, not just in getting stories out there, but in writing some new material.

Can I just take a moment and say how happy I have been coming back to WordPress? As cool as Joomla is, and I LOVE it for BCM and Anthology, it’s just missing a personal feel for a personal blog. I had considered being more active on my Livejournal account, but I mostly just review my friend’s posts, and to be honest, the new “Pre-load” ad stuff is crap, and since I love WordPress anyway, the choice was pretty easy. Oh that and the FRIEKIN AWESOME IPAD APP to update with kinda sealed the deal.

If you get a chance, check out Sharon Skinner’s site, also WordPress, but I just spent the day tweaking the “Steampunk” theme for her and it came out awesome, I actually got some widget envy and copied some of my work over there back to here.

Oh, about the Haven stuff, I started a 4 story arc, introducing some new characters, and really messing with some of the original. My guy, Arborean, will be in the mix, along with my personal favorite villian, Reaper. I won’t spill too much more, but I probably won’t release the first story until a few more of the “First 10″ are available.

I’ll probably update some more fairly soon, but I noticed I had had some visitors lately and I wanted to actually give them something to read, so there you go.

See you soon,

Bob
